Bart Verhelst succeeds Paul Peeters as CEO of AXI

Effective January 1, 2025, we welcome Bart Verhelst as our new CEO. He will take over from Paul Peeters, who will become chairman of our board of directors after 17 years in this role. Starting in the new year, Bart will be at the helm of our ambitious and fast-growing IT services company.

A familiar face, a new challenge

Bart Verhelst is no stranger to us. Today, he is CEO of ITP Group, which became part of AXI in 2023. In this role, he was responsible for the SME segment within AXI and led IT service providers such as IT Provider, DVIT, Lovatech, and Datalink.

As our new CEO, Bart will now also be responsible for the Enterprise and Telecom divisions, with Geert Gobien and Karel Vyncke at his side, respectively. At ITP Group, Bart will be succeeded by Matthias Van Snick, currently Operations Manager at IT Provider and soon responsible for the SME segment. Together with our CFO Veerle Vervaeck, CHRO Tom Faes, and Transformation Manager Emmanuel Verbrugge, they comprise the management team.

With over 20 years of experience in IT and digital leadership, Bart is ideally positioned to lead AXI's further growth.

A new role for Paul Peeters

Paul Peeters has been with AXI for almost 40 years, 17 of which as our CEO. His impact on our company and the teams he worked with is undeniable. As Chairman of the Board of Directors, Paul will focus on strategic decisions and AXI's long-term vision.
