AXI colleagues walk, cycle and hike for the good cause Ferm'Eline

With heartwarming pride, we look back on the 9th edition of the AXI2AXI Run, which took place on Sunday, June 2nd. A well-established event in our organization, 67 dedicated AXI colleagues braved a challenging relay by running, walking, or cycling. Together they raised an astonishing €13,172.88 for the charity Ferm’Eline.

Sports with a mission

The AXI2AXI Run is more than a sporting challenge; it's an event that connects colleagues and tries to make a difference. The 84.39-kilometer, pre-planned route to Willebroek, twice the distance of a marathon, started from our Ghent office this year.

Participants could choose from three disciplines: the AXI2AXI Run (relay race), the AXI2AXI Walk (hiking), or the AXI2AXI Cycle (cycling tour with various distances). All teams consisted of a minimum of three and a maximum of six team members and were cheered on by their enthusiastic team leaders.

Collaborating for a good cause

This year, the AXI heroes chose to raise money for Ferm'Eline Care Farm, a welcoming place where vulnerable young people between the ages of 12 and 18 can find respite and new opportunities. The young people stay there for short or long periods and are guided by a dedicated team of care professionals. Ferm'Eline's mission is to offer young people a safe and supportive environment where they feel safe and supported in making choices for their future.

The dedication and sportsmanship of our employees, combined with the generous donations from sponsors and supporters, resulted in a fantastic total of €13,172.88. An achievement we at AXI are incredibly proud of!
