Digital Workplace for Flemish Agency for Care and Health
The Flemish Government Agency for Care and Health (Vlaams Agentschap Zorg en Gezondheid) is responsible for some 35 different sectors and policy domains in healthcare and prevention. This complexity made (re)designing their IT architecture a challenge. The agency wanted to adapt to changes in society while increasing employee productivity and promoting collaboration.
The agency's existing setup did not support the flexible remote work policy, collaboration between departments and with external parties was often impossible, duplicate documents were common, drives were often very unstructured, and information sharing was difficult. The agency wanted to offer their employees the flexibility to work where they wanted and wanted to be able to efficiently encourage their teams to collaborate more between departments to come up with better solutions.
AXI was guided by structuring the information architecture and comparing different solutions for these challenges. After the agency opted for a centralized SharePoint environment with a modern and thematic layout, AXI assisted them with the implementation and migration. By introducing project locations and workspaces, project-based teams can collaborate more efficiently, and information is presented via an easy-to-use user interface, allowing people to quickly access the necessary documents. AXI also supported the agency with change management, user training, and coaching to ensure high user adoption throughout the organization.
