Taborgroep employees collaborate smarter thanks to migration to M365

The Tabor Groep is a network of autonomous social enterprises and schools. The group organizes various networking activities, supports its partners through consultancy, creates and provides training, and engages in innovative projects. With approximately 9,000 employees, the partners strengthen each other in value-driven entrepreneurship.

    The migration

The Tabor Groep had been a client of AXI for IT infrastructure solutions for years. Thanks to our experience and knowledge of M365 solutions and services, the Tabor Groep quickly entrusted AXI with the M365 migration project.

The main challenge was to enable its 9,000 employees to collaborate more efficiently and offer them more functionality through the use of various M365 applications.

Initially, the AXI Employee Productivity team began by mapping the current on-premises SharePoint and email environment. After a comprehensive analysis of the internal operations, a customized information architecture was developed for the Tabor Group's new digital workplace environment, which had to be logical and user-friendly for every Tabor employee.

The Tabor Groep stipulated that employees should not experience any disruption during the migration and that everyone would maintain access to all documents in SharePoint. A challenge that AXI met perfectly.

To accelerate user adoption of the M365 platform, AXI offered train-the-trainer courses and training sessions to key users. This concept works well for internal knowledge transfer, allowing all employees to quickly become familiar with the numerous features and extensive capabilities of MS Teams and MS SharePoint.

    Low-code Microsoft Power Platform

After the successful M365 migration, AXI was asked to thoroughly analyze several processes that were repetitive, very intensive, or always required manual execution.

Based on this analysis, the AXI Digital Workplace team developed concrete business cases for three departments within the Tabor Group using the low-code Microsoft Power Platform.

By deploying these low-code M365 tools, the Tabor Group was able to bring IT closer to the business, quickly optimizing three concrete business cases.

This allows the Tabor Group to enjoy the following benefits:

    • Quickly recouping financial investments by optimizing and automating various processes using a single platform
    • Substantial time savings by partially automating intensive tasks
    • Focusing solely on core tasks by automating repetitive flows
    • Connecting internal and external systems, where data from different systems had to be consistently available
    • Data silos spread across internal and external systems were connected, saving time and energy. proactive notifications through the use of automatic flashing lights.

    Why AXI?

Paul Ongenaert, Director at the Tabor Group, was particularly impressed by AXI's approach, which featured very short lines of communication. The AXI employees involved were always available for consultation and could quickly make adjustments where necessary.

The successful migration to the cloud-based M365 platform was also the ideal way for Paul to boost digital innovation within his network of partners.
