Navitrans relieves IT team by switching to the AXI Cloud

Navitrans, a provider of software solutions for logistics and transport management, moved its server, storage, backup, and network infrastructure to the AXI data center in early 2023. The company now uses the AXI Cloud, which relieves its own IT team of the burden, achieves cost savings, and provides its environment with the necessary flexibility and scalability.

Move to AXI Cloud

Navitrans recently moved its office environment to a new location in Kortrijk. With this move, the company also considered whether to keep its IT infrastructure on-premise, as before, or to migrate to the cloud with an external partner. The decision was made for the latter. At the beginning of 2023, Navitrans exchanged its on-premise infrastructure for the AXI data center in Evere and migrated to the AXI Cloud, according to Bart Beeckmans, CEO and Managing Director at Navitrans.

Managed Cloud

The Navitrans server, storage, backup, and network infrastructure was successfully migrated to the AXI cloud. "Navitrans now uses the facilities of the AXI data center, such as equipment, power, cooling, internet connection, security, etc., and by choosing our managed cloud, Navitrans can save costs and relieve its IT team, which is no longer responsible for managing its own data center," says Frederik Willems, Account Manager at AXI.

"Through a Tier 3 service level agreement (SLA), we ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of their systems are guaranteed," explains Frederik Willems.

"We monitor the environment 24/7 and ensure that business-critical incidents are handled quickly. We also identify all vulnerabilities and potential threats in a controlled and systematic manner to prevent downtime and outages. In short, maximum peace of mind."

Smooth transition and excellent collaboration

This project required a tight schedule to be implemented. And successfully so. "Thanks to the excellent collaboration and exceptionally smooth communication with the client, the project, including preparation, move, and required post-move work, was completed in less than four weeks," says Frederik Willems. "There were daily meetings to ensure that the required work was completed in accordance with the pre-established step-by-step plan."
