E&C Consultants smoothly migrates server environment to Azure Cloud

E&C Consultants, an international advisory firm specializing in energy procurement and management, recently migrated its server environment to the Azure Cloud. The move increases flexibility and scalability while safeguarding business continuity. Read how they achieved this together with AXI.

A secure and scalable server environment

“In our drive for a secure digital workplace, we decided to migrate our server environment, previously running on a Windows server in an external data center, to the Azure Cloud,” says Benedict De Meulemeester, CEO of E&C.

“By migrating to Azure, E&C now benefits from a scalable and secure environment,” adds Isalien Van Laere, Business Development Manager at AXI.

Step by step, with zero downtime

The migration was carried out successfully in phases. First, the server environment was moved to a separate environment in Azure, allowing E&C to perform all necessary tests while keeping the existing production environment fully operational. In the next step, the production environment was migrated and brought online.

“Employees simply started work as usual on Monday morning without noticing any disruption,” says Benedict. “In the following days, AXI fine-tuned the environment.”
